Janet majored in Art History at UCLA and discovered her passion and love of art. This continual love of studying art propelled her into becoming an artist herself, specializing in modern oceanscapes, landscapes and abstracts. Janet’s love of nature, especially the transient, ephemeral nature of clouds and water has greatly influenced her work. The ocean with its changing colors, patterns and moods are often reflected in Janet’s work and fits into the Southern California beach life she enjoys. Many of her abstracts reflect natural forms and environmental ecosystems. The reverence for the peaceful beauty of nature is echoed in Janet’s work and she hopes the viewer takes in and enjoys this “zen” state of being.
